As an incubator, it serves as a competence centre, particularly for:

- Scale-up projects of young businesses (within the first five years – Young Entrepreneurs Group).

- Project development in regionally relevant fields with high potential for technology-oriented and knowledge-based startups, aiming at value creation in the region.
